Born in 1931 Frederic Lamond studied Economics at Cambridge and Planning at the University of Chicago. After 5 years in market research he joined the computer industry in 1960 and worked as an independent consultant and lecturer from 1975 until 2003. During that period he travelled extensively throughout Europe and North America. He is married and has two children and five grandchildren from his first marriage. After 39 years in and around London he has lived in Austria since 1994.
A life long pantheist, Frederic Lamond was initiated in February 1957 into Gardnerian witchcraft (now called Wicca). He is also a member of the Fellowship of Isis, the Church of All Worlds and the Children of Artemis www.witchcraft.org and is on the Council of the Pagan Federation www.paganfed.org. During his professional travels he has met the leading European and American Pagans and Wiccans. He is also active in interfaith work and attended the Parliaments of World Religions in Chicago in 1993, Cape Town in 1999 and Barcelona in 2004.
Besides many articles in Wiccan and other Pagan publications he is the author of:

  • The Divine Struggle, published by Nemeton in California in 1990, and republished by Avalonia Books, Wales, in 2007.
  • Religion without Beliefs, published by Janus Publishing, London, in 1997.
  • Fifty Years of Wicca, published by Green Magic, Sutton Mallet, England, in 2004.
